In 2018, the British Library launched the web resource Discovering Music (www.bl.uk/20th-century-music/), which made available large numbers of music manuscripts, recordings, and articles by experts. A number of dedicated teaching resources on the site (available at www.bl.uk/20th-century-music/teaching-resources) are aimed at helping teachers to use the digital materials on the site in teaching and to aid independent student learning.

Dr Joanna Bullivant and Professor Daniel Grimley (in partnership with the Faculty of Music and St Catherine’s College) ran a workshop exploring strategies to engage young people using the distinctive digital music resources of Discovering Music. The below video was used in the webinar and we invite you to watch it and provide any comments that you have on the materials, either suggestions for use in the classroom or ways in which these teaching resources could be improved.
