The Dean Kitchin Luncheon 2025

On Saturday 14th June, the Dean Kitchin Circle attended their annual Luncheon. The Caledonian Club, commonly hailed as ‘a little piece of Scotland in the heart of London’, welcomed over 40 guests and Fellows, due to the generous hospitality of sponsor Rupert McNeil (1985, PPE) and host Dafydd Rees (1985, Modern History).

The Dean Kitchin Circle recognises and thanks those who have notified us of their intention to remember St Catherine’s in their will. George Kitchin, for whom this community of legators is named, presided over the Delegacy of Unattached Students from 1868 to 1883. The Circle meets in person once a year; and its members also gather twice per year for exclusive online talks by our students and Fellows.

Over a quintessentially Scottish menu, legators had the opportunity to reconnect, to discover the impact of their pledges, and to meet the new Master, Jude Kelly CBE. Professor Ludmilla Steier, Goodenough Fellow in Inorganic Chemistry, gave an exclusive lecture on her current research; the presentation focused on the evolving applications of solar energy.

We are exceptionally grateful to all of our alumni and friends who have already pledged to make this most personal of gifts.
