Further footballing successes for Catz

The Catz football teams are celebrating a season of success.

Last week, the women*’s team won Cuppers for the second time in their history, with a 2-0 win over the Foxes, a joint team representing St Cross, St Antony’s, Wolfson and Nuffield colleges.

A week later, as Hilary term came to a close, the men’s second team achieved a convincing 4-0 victory over Brasenose to win the reserve Cuppers.

These wins come as the Catz men’s first and third teams also won this year’s JCR Premier Division and JCR Reserves Division 3 titles respectively.

In Oxford football news, the University Blues’ men’s and women’s teams both won their Varsity matches against Cambridge.

The Oxford women, captained by Catz’s Maddy Kowalenko, won 4-1 on penalties after a 2-2 normal-time deadlock. The men’s team won 1-0, with Catz being represented by Finlay Ryan-Phillips and Nathaniel Downes.
