In front of a large crowd at the University’s Iffley Road Sports Centre, the Catz team dominated after scoring in the opening moments. A second goal in the first half secured victory for the team, who had been beaten 4-1 by the Foxes last term.

This is the second time the Catz women*’s team has won Cuppers, the first being in 2019.

Captain Mia Campbell commented: ‘Thank you so much to everyone in College for their support, and to this team of extraordinary women for being such a pleasure to play alongside. We are very delighted to win Catz’s second ever football Cuppers.’

Oxford Cuppers is the second oldest football competition in the world (the first being the FA Cup). It is a knock-out competition between all the Oxford colleges, and takes place throughout Michaelmas and Hilary terms.

Everyone at the College extends warm congratulations to the winning team.
