Update from the Development Office

In recent months, the St Catz Development Office has welcomed two new members to the team.

In late November 2020, Matthew Collier joined the team as Communications and Marketing Officer. Matthew has worked in higher education communications roles for most of the last decade, with brief spells in the charity sector.

Laura StokerIn January 2021, Laura Stoker (pictured) joined the Development Office as the new Director of Development. Laura is an alumna of St Anne’s College, Oxford, where she read Modern History. Prior to joining St Catz, Laura spent nine years working at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada as a major gift fundraiser, supporting the Faculty of Arts and the Museum of Anthropology (MOA).

Laura says: ‘I am delighted to be back in Oxford, and to be working with the incredible people here at St Catz. I look forward to connecting with the College’s alumni and friends, and hope that we can welcome everyone back into College very soon.’

Hello and goodbye

At the Easter break, the team will also say goodbye to Development Officer Tal Williams, who has accepted a position in the University of Oxford Development Office. Tal has been an integral part of the Catz Development team since 2018 and will be greatly missed.

Laura and Matthew join Emma Simpson, Deputy Director of Development, who many of you have met, and who has skilfully steered the team through the turbulence of the last year.

The Development Office continues to work remotely, but are always happy to hear from alumni and discuss support for the College. Find out more on the Alumni and Friends section of the website, where you can also find contact details for the team.
