The Brilliant Club Partnership 2023

Here at St Catherine’s College, we’ve been working in partnership with The Brilliant Club for a number of years, with the overall aim of supporting less advantaged students to access the most competitive universities. We’re delighted to be able to say that, in the current academic year, our partnership has gone from strength to strength.

Through The Scholars Programme, The Brilliant Club deploy PhD researchers into state schools across the UK to give students exposure to challenging courses on subjects beyond the curriculum. Students also attend a launch event at the start of the programme and a graduation ceremony at the end, which is where University partners like Catz come in.

At St Catherine’s College, we have welcomed 630 students from across the UK to 6 events so far in the current academic year, with a further event planned for the summer term. Students attending an event participate in a tour of the College campus and a Q&A session with current students, as well as being treated to lunch in our dining hall and an information, advice and guidance workshop from our Outreach team.
