Taylor Institution Library hosts a Homage to Nicanor Parra
This month, in conjunction with the University of Oxford Sub-Faculty of Spanish, the Taylor Institution Library is paying homage to Chilean poet Nicanor Parra with a book display. Parra was both an alumnus and an Honorary Fellow of St Catz, who died earlier this year aged 103.
‘Homage to Nicanor Parra’ is a book display arranged by our Fellow and Tutor in Spanish, Ben Bollig, and Spanish subject librarian Joanne Ferrari, and its items reflect the Taylor Institution’s long-standing commitment to the collection of Parra’s works. They include early editions of some of his most important works, as well as later anthologies and examples of the innovative formats of his publications, including tear-out postcards and fold-out visual material.
The book display will be on show in the Institution’s Voltaire Room, up until the 20th May.
