Spring has Sprung at Catz
Winter is receding and longer days are arriving in Oxford.
This year, the St Catz Music Society marked this annual changing of the seasons with a virtual concert: Spring has Sprung.
Featuring music, art and poetry, the uplifting celebration of spring was a collaboration of Catz artists.
Alex Yu, President of the Catz Music Society, organised the concert with support from Catz’s Director of Performance, Cayenna Ponchione-Bailey.
Alex commented: ‘Organising Spring Has Sprung was such a pleasure! It was fantastic to see so many different people from across the Catz community coming together to put on this uplifting production.
‘Thank you especially to the Director of Performance, Cayenna, for all her help in making this possible.’
Oxford has a long history of celebrating spring, with May Morning festivities having been an annual feature for around five centuries.
