We host a variety of school and college visits at Catz throughout the academic year.

A standard visit runs from 10:30am to 1:30pm and involves the following:

  • Introduction to university, the University of Oxford and Oxford admission session
  • Q&A with current students (during term time, if available)
  • Tour of St Catherine’s College
  • Lunch (free of charge)

If you would like to request something be added to this trip, such as an academic taster session or second college tour, it may be possible to arrange this before the proposed 10:30 start or after lunch.

School visit dates currently available to book include:

  • Friday 14th November 2025 (now fully booked)
  • Friday 23rd January 2026 (now fully booked)
  • Friday 13th February 2026 (now fully booked)
  • Friday 13th March 2026 (now fully booked)
  • Wednesday 6th May 2026 (now fully booked)

Multiple groups are able to book onto each date and the timetable above is offered as standard. Groups have found this particularly useful as it can allow multiple schools in a similar area to group together and split the cost of a coach to Oxford if needed.
Please note that we do not have capacity for minibuses or coaches to park on site; they can only drop off/pick up passengers at the College.

If you would like to book a visit to us here at Catz for your school, college or youth group then please complete our visit request form (linked here). You can also use this form to request virtual or outbound outreach visits.

If you would like to discuss your requirements further, you can also contact our Outreach team on outreach@stcatz.ox.ac.uk or by calling 01865 281189.

If you’re undecided as to whether or not you’d like to bring your school group to visit us here at Catz, then you can read some feedback from some students who have visited us recently to help you to make up your mind:

Notice for 2025-26

Please note that much of St Catherine’s College is currently closed for essential maintenance, after the presence of Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) was confirmed, following the government’s closure of affected schools. The college has restricted access to areas including lecture theatres, the library, Hall, and Junior Common Room, and temporary facilities are being used whilst the RAAC found in buildings around the College is replaced. A full statement on the current situation can be found here.

This means that there may be a few differences to visits this year. Until further notice we are unable to provide onsite parking (including for minibuses) and college tours will be limited to external areas of the college. There may also be some noise and onsite disruption whilst building works take place. Nevertheless, we will do our best to ensure that you and your students have a memorable trip to St Catherine’s College, and the opportunity to visit and attend the sessions provided will still be valuable to your students.
