I teach General Management and Strategic Management tutorials for the BA Economics & Management degree.

About me

I obtained my doctorate in strategic management at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and my undergraduate degree in physics at Imperial College, University of London. I am a chartered accountant, having worked for KPMG in London, Australia, and New Zealand, and have corporate finance and strategy experience within Barclays plc and KPMG Corporate Finance, having provided consultancy services for companies such as Unilever. I was appointed as a visiting scholar in the Management Department of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA, and a visiting professor at Sun Yat-Sen University, People’s Republic of China. I am also faculty member at the School of Business and Economics, Loughborough University.

I have been shortlisted for several Best Paper Prizes from the Strategic Management Society. I am the author of The Dynamics of Strategy published by Oxford University Press and Agent-Based Strategizing published by Cambridge University Press.

Research

My research centres on the dynamics of competitive strategy; competition in high-velocity and turbulent environments; dynamic capabilities; agent-based modelling of inter-firm competition; and the strategic management of network-based firms.
