Three Catz women selected for Varsity rugby squad

Three Catz students have been selected to represent Oxford in the Varsity rugby match on Saturday 2 April.

The students, all women, are Alice Ardis (2019, Physics), Chloe-Marie Hawley (2019, Biology) and Kehinde Lawal (2018, Materials Science).

The Varsity matches see Oxford and Cambridge universities play against each other in some of the most competitive and anticipated non-professional fixtures.

This year’s rugby matches, played at Twickenham Stadium, are even more significant as the fixture celebrates its 150th anniversary.

It is also significant for the College: having three students selected for one team is a rare feat.

Alumni and members of the public can buy tickets to watch both the men’s and women’s matches live at Twickenham, on the website of The Varsity Matches.

The College congratulates Alice, Chloe-Marie and Kehinde on their selection, and will be cheering on both them, and the men’s Dark Blues, on 2 April.
