What course do you study, and why did you choose it?

I study Geography, which I chose as it is applicable to current issues and debates and therefore always feel new and exciting. It is also a very wide ranging subject which provides opportunities to go into whatever you choose.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you take part in any societies or sports?

I play Catz women*s football (objectively the best football team in Oxford!).

Why did you choose St Catz? Did it meet your expectations?

I chose Catz as it is the biggest undergraduate college so it has a really nice community feel and means that you meet a variety of people. I also like that it is modern and less-Oxfordy than other older colleges. Another reason I chose Catz was because everyone pays the same for accommodation and lives together (compared to some colleges where you only live with people who pay the same as you).

What advice would you give to prospective students?

Apply regardless of whether you think that you fit the typical Oxford student stereotype or not, as once you get here you realise that there isn’t one type of Oxford student. It is only one spot on your applications so it is worth giving it a go.

And to finish, what is your favourite part of life at Catz?

The people! There are lots of really great people that I have met at Catz (sorry if this is a bit of a cringe answer, but it’s true!)
