London Party 2025
It was wonderful to see so many of our alumni convened, together with Fellows and current students, at the annual London Party. Graciously hosted by Professor Ashok Handa FRCS, Fellow in Clinical Medicine and Professor of Vascular Surgery, more than 160 international alumni mingled over drinks and canapés at The BMA House on Thursday, 5th June.
This London Party, as in previous years, provided a perfect opportunity to reconnect with peers, and to discover current and future College news. The 2025 London Party was marked with one distinction: the presence of the new Master, Jude Kelly CBE, who enjoyed engaging with our wonderful Catz community.
Professor Ashok Handa commented: “It was really excellent to meet so many alumni, both familiar and new, in the splendid surroundings of The BMA House. The energy in the room was palpable, and the enthusiasm for the next steps at Catz is very exciting.”
During her Welcome Address, the Master invited current students Hugo Cooper (2021, Biology), Elizabeth Hamilton (2023, Modern Languages), and Kush Vaidya (2022, PPE) to join the podium. As the Catz Boat Club Captain, the JCR President-elect, and the incumbent JCR President respectively, this unique speech provided alumni with the opportunity to learn more about the future of College operations and student life. Many commented that it was a particularly lively part of the proceedings.
St Catherine’s College extends special thanks to Professor Ashok Handa FRCS, for hosting this London Party; and to The BMA House for their hospitality.
