Gaudy for 1973-1982 matriculands

Gaudies are one of Oxford’s oldest traditions. Organised by matriculation years, our St Catz gaudies offer the opportunity to come back to College, meet up with old friends and connect once again with your former tutors.

We hope you will join us at the Gaudy for 1973-1982 matriculands, which will take place on Saturday 25 June 2022.

This gaudy will be a great opportunity for us to come together after what has been a very difficult period of time. We are especially looking forward to welcoming you back to College after previously having to postpone this event, and we hope you are able to join us.

Please find the itinerary and booking details below. We ask that you RSVP no later than Friday 20 May. Guests are warmly welcome.

Please note: parking in College is only available to blue badge holders – please contact the Development Office to book your space. Information on how to travel to College can be found here.

Saturday

2.00pm – Accommodation check-in/Registration opens, Tea & coffee served in the JCR

3.00pm – Optional tour of the College & gardens

4.00pm – Optional tour of the College & gardens

6.30pm – Drinks reception in the SCR

7.15pm – Dinner in Hall

9.00pm – Music/entertainment starts in the JCR

Gaudy Bio

We ask alumni to provide a short bio and/or memoir to include in the handout – it is a great opportunity to update your peers on what you’ve been up to since your Catz days. They are very informal and there’s certainly no need to write a masterpiece. Even if you are unable to attend, please send us your details so that we can include them in a list of those sending their apologies. Please complete your bio, and sign up to our your tour online here.

Memorabilia

We would like your help in creating a gallery of memorabilia from your time at Catz, to aid in the collective trip down memory lane. Please send digital files to development.office@stcatz.ox.ac.uk, or alternatively you can post your items to us. We will return all original documents, so please ensure that you write your name and contact details on the back.
