Catz Alumnus Garners City Success

St Catherine’s College is delighted to announce that Tosh Kojima (Physics, 1992) has been recognised as a leading figure in the world of international finance by the Financial Times’ monthly magazine The Banker.

Kojima is Managing Director of DC Advisory, the international Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) arm of Daiwa Securities, Japan’s oldest and second-largest investment bank. The accolade joins a series of honours – including Deal of the Year and M&A Advisory Firm of the Year – from leading trade publications. The Banker notes that he has “devoted his career to the origination and execution of East-meets-West cross-border transactions” – a record reflected in more than 260 deals completed since his team’s formation in 2011.

After leaving Catz, Kojima worked in New York, Tokyo, Sydney and Hong Kong. He began his career with MMG (a McKinsey MBO) and Nomura before joining Daiwa, and has served on the Management Board of DC Advisory for the past 15 years as well as having been on the board of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce in the UK.
