Catz alumnae recognised in 2024 King’s Birthday Honours

St Catherine’s College is pleased to share the news that two alumni have been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours 2024.

Helen Barnes (1996, Modern History & Modern Languages) has been appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to International Relations in her role as Deputy Director for Ukraine at the British Embassy in Kyiv. Her work has had a particular focus on governance, accountability criminal justice reform, working with grassroot organisations in the country.

Georgia Gould (2005, Modern History & Politics) has been appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Local Government. She had been Leader of Camden Council since 2017 and was elected as MP for Queen’s Park & Maida Vale in the 2024 election.
