The College owns four houses at the end Bath Street, which is the fifth turning to the left on St Clement’s Street after the Plain. The houses are a 15 minute walk from the College.

In terms of priority for their use, the College has decided that two houses will be reserved for the accommodation of new Fellows moving to Oxford requiring accommodation whilst they make decisions about their future housing needs, and two houses will be reserved for Visiting Fellows. If these needs have been met, the College is happy to consider requests for housing from other colleges and parts of the University for academic visitors.

Bath Street is quiet cul-de-sac with little traffic noise. The houses sit next to St Catherine’s House, which is the College’s off-site graduate centre, and the Angel and Greyhound Meadow which is accessed by a bridge at the end of Bath Street.

The houses are formed of a small study to the front, which has a desk and sofa-bed. Along an entrance corridor to the rear of the house sits a large sitting room furnished with a sofa, easy chair and coffee table. There is a television. The sitting room opens into a light, spacious kitchen/dining area. This is fully-equipped with an oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a glazed area over the kitchen/dining area which can be shaded by the use of motorised high-level blinds.

The second floor is composed of a double bedroom to the front of the house and a single to the rear. There is bathroom on the second floor equipped with a bath and shower.

The rear of the houses is formed of a terrace with separate sitting areas assigned to each house. Beyond this is a large lawn shared by all houses – this is a private, gated area and surrounded by walls/fences.

You can view floorplans of the houses here:  Ground Floor Plans, First Floor Plans

The houses are connected to the University’s IT network.

The houses on Bath Street are very close to two supermarkets – Tesco on Cowley Road and Sainsbury’s, close to Magdalen Bridge. There are cashpoints at both supermarkets. The Cowley Road and St Clement’s areas offer a wide variety of types of shop, restaurant and bars.

The bus stop for London and Gatwick and Heathrow airports are on St Clement’s Street – a few minutes’ walk from the end Bath Street and the houses.
