Eleanor Stride announced as Honorary Fellow of Institution of Engineering and Technology

St Catherine’s is delighted to announce that Fellow, Professor Eleanor Stride, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), in recognition of her contribution to biomedical engineering and research into the treatment of major diseases.

Professor Stride says, “Receiving an Honorary Fellowship from the IET was the most wonderful surprise, I was delighted and honoured and am immensely grateful to the IET for its exceptional support of engineering across all its different branches”.

Eleanor Stride is the Statutory Professor of Biomaterials in the Departments of Engineering Science and the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences. She specialises in the fabrication of nano and microscale devices for targeted drug delivery.

Eleanor became a Fellow of St Catherine’s College in 2011, and became a full Professor in 2014.
