Casual gardening staff – closing date 16 June

St Catherine’s College is seeking to recruit a number of Casual Gardeners to work during the summer vacation period, from July to September.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to assist with gardening, basic grounds work, and general maintenance duties, as directed by the Head Gardener.

St Catherine’s maintains exceptionally high standards across its gardens and grounds, which are included in the Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England. The successful candidates will contribute to the upkeep and presentation of the College’s extensive lawns, flower beds, pathways, and outdoor spaces during the busy summer period.

Previous gardening experience would be helpful but is not essential, as training and guidance will be provided. Candidates should be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

The exact hours and days of work will vary according to the needs of the College, but shifts are likely to be within core hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30pm.

The hourly rate of pay is £12.71, plus holiday pay. Staff will also be entitled to a free meal when on shift.
