Master appointed as Non-Executive Board Member of Department for Culture, Media and Sport

The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, The Rt Hon Lisa Nandy MP, has appointed the Master, Jude Kelly CBE, as one of two new Non-Executive Board Members of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport for a term of three years from 23 April 2025 to 22 April 2028.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) promotes culture, the arts, media, sport, tourism, and civil society throughout England. It recognises the UK’s global leadership in these fields and the vital role they play in shaping our economy, lifestyle, and international reputation. The department advocates for inclusive participation in sport at all levels, backs our renowned cultural and creative industries, and works to strengthen community cohesion.

The DCMS is a ministerial department, supported by 42 agencies and public bodies.

Jude said: It’s an honour to support a government department that oversees areas that matters so much to our students, academics and alumni. I will also be looking future opportunities to strengthen our ties with the government to champion the sciences.”
