Catz Research Associate granted novel vaccine patent against hepatitis C virus
Gerardo Montalvo Zurbía Flores, Research Associate in the Medical Sciences, and his colleagues have been granted a patent for their development of novel vaccines against the hepatitis C virus (HCV). This achievement, based on one of the projects Gerardo led as a postdoctoral scientist, highlights the originality and potential impact of their work. While the patent is currently undergoing the usual licensing review process, with a decision expected in June, its approval marks a significant milestone in the advancement of HCV vaccine research.
