We offer a wide range of permanent, part-time and casual roles across catering, hospitality, operations and professional services. From chefs and porters to administrators and communications professionals, our roles support a vibrant academic community in the heart of Oxford.

Kitchen
Our College Kitchen team delivers high-quality food every day, from student meals to formal dinners and private events. All dishes are made fresh from scratch, and the kitchen has an excellent reputation for quality.

Hours
• 40 hours per week
• 5 days out of 7 (early and late shifts on a rota basis)
Dining Hall
One of the largest dining halls in Oxford, seating over 250 guests. The team provides friendly, professional service for formal dinners and everyday meals.

Hours
• 40 hours/week, 5 days out of 7
• 17 hours/week, Monday–Saturday evenings
• 15 hours/week, Tuesday–Saturday evenings
Lodge (Reception)
The Lodge is the hub of the College, delivering a welcoming first impression and maintaining high standards of security.

Hours
• Evening Porters: 55 hours per fortnight (7 days on / 7 days off)
• Night Porters: 59 hours per fortnight (7 days on / 7 days off) or 75 hours per fortnight (8 days on / 6 days off)

• 35 hours/week, 5 days out of 7 (evenings), or
• Casual evening work

• Typical shifts: 7:00am – 2:15pm

Casual Opportunities
Casual roles are a great way to experience working in a College and can often lead to permanent positions.
Dining Hall – Casual Waiting Staff (Zero-Hours)
• £12.21 per hour + holiday pay

Do I need experience?
Experience is helpful for some roles, but many positions offer full training. We’re keen to meet people with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
Are roles flexible?
Yes. Many roles offer part-time, full-time or casual hours, with a range of shift patterns available.
Will I need to be filmed or photographed?
No. Occasionally we may ask if staff are happy to take part in optional promotional content, but this is entirely voluntary.
Can casual work lead to a permanent role?
Absolutely. Many colleagues start in casual roles before moving into permanent positions.
Can I apply if I can’t attend the Job Fair?
Yes – all vacancies are advertised online and applications can be made at any time.
