Donations enable us to continue to offer a world class education to all students, regardless of background, honouring our founding ethos. Each year thanks to the generosity of our alumni and friends, we are able to financially support 1 in 5 of our undergraduates and award 35 postgraduate scholarships and welcome over 1,000 school pupils to outreach events. Your support also enables us to maintain the tutorial system, with over 100 Tutors and Lecturers, and to maintain and expand our unique buildings.

Our secure online donation form is a quick and easy way for you to support St Catz. You can make a single donation, by debit or credit card, or alternatively help St Catz plan for the future and make a regular donation by direct debit.
Please note you need a UK bank account to set up a regular donation.
If you are a UK tax payer you can increase the value of your donation to St Catz by completing a Gift Aid declaration. St Catz can reclaim the basic-rate tax you have paid on any donation (Gift Aid), provided you pay income tax in the UK and the amount of this is at least equal to the tax that we will reclaim in any one tax year. In order for us to claim Gift Aid on your donation, you simply need to complete a Gift Aid declaration, which are on our online and postal giving forms. Currently, giving by Gift Aid adds an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you. Higher-rate taxpayers can claim relief on the difference between basic and higher rates in their annual tax return. There are a number of ways you can donate to St Catz in a tax-efficient way from overseas, including from Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, USA and Switzerland. Please find details below of how to make a tax efficient donation from these countries.
You can donate to St Catz through Americans for Oxford (AFO), a 501(3)(c) organisation, providing a tax-efficient giving route for supporters who are resident in the US. AFO will provide you with a tax receipt for your donation, and your donation will be passed on in full to St Catz. Please specify when making a donation that you wish for your gift to be allocated to St Catherine’s College.
You can also make a donation by post by returning a donation form to Americans for Oxford, 500 Fifth Avenue, 32nd Floor, New York, NY 10110.
If you make a donation to St Catz and are resident in Canada, we will issue you with a Canadian tax receipt. You will receive this with the formal acknowledgement of your donation.
You can donate to St Catz through The University of Oxford China Office, a charity in Hong Kong under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, who will issue you with a tax receipt. Please specify when making a donation that you wish for your gift to be allocated to St Catherine’s College.

The Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) Network is a way to donate tax-efficiently to organisations across Europe. Currently St Catz is registered with the German and French partners, but please do get in touch if you would like to donate through TGE from another partner country.

You can donate to St Catz through Swiss Friends of Oxford University (SFOU), an association (Verein) under Swiss law, with tax rulings from the canton of Zug recognising its tax-exempt status.

Through supporting the College with an unrestricted donation, you are helping St Catz to stay true to our founding principle of providing a first class education to students from a wide range of backgrounds. Donations allow us to offer scholarships to our students, maintain the tutorial system and preserve our unique buildings.
Gifts to the Student Support Fund have a direct impact on our current students and allow us to offer financial support to 1 in 5 of our undergraduates and 1 in 7 of our graduate students. The founding principle of St Catz was to open up Oxford to a wider range of students, and this fund ensures that we remain open to all, regardless of background.
Donations to this fund support the work of our Outreach Officer in welcoming over 1,000 prospective applicants each year to St Catz, giving them an invaluable insight into life at Oxford. We also host a free residential summer school for over 100 pupils from Northern Irish schools each year, where they can experience the tutorial system and gain in-depth information about the application process.
St Catz is renowned for its exceptional teaching and research, and our academics are at the heart of this. Gifts to this fund help maintain the tutorial system, a key part of the undergraduate experience here at Oxford, and support our academics in their world-leading research.

Our buildings and grounds have always been a particular point of pride, and donations to this fund ensure that we can continue to maintain their beauty as well as their practicality. We are able to improve our facilities, including renovating students’ rooms, improving access for students with disabilities and improving our heating and lighting to reduce our carbon footprint.
We are utilising the remaining space we have available on College land to build a Graduate Centre and three new Staircases, enabling us to house nearly all of our Graduates. A donation to this project will help the College to continue to be attractive to Graduate Students and have a real impact on our Graduate community.

In the 2016-17 financial year, a record-breaking 2000+ alumni and friends supported the College, helping us provide financial support to 1 in 5 of our undergraduates and 35 postgraduate scholarships. We were also able to provide a team of over 100 world-class academic staff and reward over 100 of our students for outstanding academic and personal achievements. Thanks to you, we were able to accommodate close to 90% of our undergraduates in College, and the cost of living in College remained below the student average for Oxford. If you pay tax in the UK, Gift Aid is a simple way to increase the value of your gift to St Catherine’s. Using Gift Aid will allow us to reclaim the basic rate tax on your gift, increasing the value of your donation by 25%.
