Tim Cook was a student at Catz from 1966 to 1972 and after a career in industry was appointed in 1997 to develop Isis Innovation, Oxford University’s technology transfer company, retiring in 2007. He is currently a non-executive director of Isis Innovation, Lombard Medical Technologies and Oxford Gene Technology.
In the early 1990s he was an investor in, and founding Managing Director of, two successful companies; Oxford Semiconductor and Oxford Asymmetry, a spinout from the University.
From 2005-8 he was Visiting Professor in Science Entrepreneurship at the Said Business School.
He now composes and performs music and conducts the Dorchester Abbey Choir.
Tim Cook was elected a fellow by special election in Trinity 1999.
