Richard Parish

Richard Parish is a Professor of French and a Tutorial Fellow of St Catherine’s. His research interests lie principally in the early-modern period, and he has published extensively on seventeenth-century neo-classical theatre (Racine, Molière) and on Catholic writing in the same period (Pascal, Bossuet).He is currently working on polemical literature.

He was recently made an Officier dans l’ordre des palmes académiques by the French government in recognition of his contribution to the promotion of French literary studies.
