Richard Bailey lectures on Geographical techniques in Prelims (1st year) and an option on the Quaternary Period for the Final Honours School of Geography.
Richard's research is focused on the development of Luminescence Dating techniques and their application to research topics in Quaternary science - a field in which many problems can be expressed in terms of the timing, duration, order, synchronicity or correlation of key recorded events. he applied Luminescence methods in areas of climate/environmental change, geomorphological change and human evolution/dispersal. he also has a particular interest in quantitative methods and their application in physical geography.
