Marc Mulholland

Marc Mulholland has been a Lecturer in Modern History and a Fellow of St. Catherine's College since 2000. He was educated at the Queen's University of Belfast, earning his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. there. His scholarship concentrates on the history of Ireland and its relationship with Britain, and in particular on the history of Northern Ireland in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

As well as articles and book chapters on aspects of Irish history, he is the author of To Care Always: A History of Holywell Hospital, Antrim, 1898-1998 (1999); Northern Ireland at the Crossroads: Ulster Unionism in the O'Neill years, 1960-9 (2000); and Northern Ireland: A Very Short Introduction (2003). He is also interested in the history of political theory, particularly marxism.
