Junior Research Fellow in MedicineDr Kerry Walker, St. Catherine's College

Dr Kerry Walker is our Director of Studies for the Physiology and Biomedical Sciences courses. She tutors Medicine, Physiology and Biomedical Science students at St Catherine's College in the topics of Neuroscience and Critical Analysis.

Kerry is also a Research Scientist in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics, where she investigates the neural basis of hearing. This research involves decoding neurons' action potential responses to complex sounds in order to understand how the brain represents perceptual features such as pitch and timbre. She has supervised the dissertation projects of several undergraduate and graduate students in her lab, and welcomes new opportunities for Catz students to take part in her research.
