Events

The College provides a varied and extensive programme of events each year for our Alumni, Students, Parents & Friends, as well as the general public. Our ever growing events calendar includes events outside of Oxford in other parts of the UK, as well as overseas. We warmly welcome feedback, as well as new, innovative ideas and contributions that can help expand our events programme.

We are increasingly sending event invitations via email, therefore please ensure that we have an up to date email address for you. Alternatively, please do let us know if you are not on email, and we will be very happy to send you postal invitations. In general, event invitations are sent 3 months in advance.

Please note our events are photographed and images may be used in our media; including, without limitation, in printed publications, presentations, promotional material, online (including our Social Media channels), in their original format or edited or altered in any way. If you have concerns about your image being used for these purposes, or would prefer to not have your photo taken, please contact a member of the Development Office.

Giving to St Catherine's

The generosity of our Alumni, Parents and Friends has enabled St Catherine’s to become a world-class academic institution, with the power to transform its students’ lives and inspire great contributions to our society. Your donations are essential to our success and will be ever more vital in helping us meet the challenges of the future.

Why St Catherine's Needs Your Support

With increased tuition fees and rising living costs, one of our main goals is to preserve and enhance the financial support we provide for students in need. We provide financial support to 1 in 5 Catz undergraduates, helping over 100 students in need.

Our College’s roots stretch back to the ‘Delegacy’, founded in 1868 with the aim of enabling students to come to Oxford who could not afford to pay high fees. This spirit remains with us today, and your support will be crucial in helping us ensure that students from all backgrounds can come to St Catherine’s.

When students arrive at our College, we want them to continue benefitting from our unique tutorial system, which is under pressure due to cuts in government funding. Our ability to provide one-on-one tuition depends on our low student-to-tutor ratio, and the support of our Donors will be essential in preserving this for generations to come. Your gifts will also assist the world-class research of our Fellows, which addresses subjects as diverse as computer security, Middle East politics, and infectious disease. Your donations will help protect our unique tutorial system.

Our Grade I Listed buildings provide a comfortable and spacious environment for our students. In order to ensure that St Catherine’s remains a great place to live and work, we are modernising our buildings in line with the latest technological, environmental and access standards. Your support will play a very important role in this endeavour, as we look to reduce our carbon footprint and make our buildings as modern and accessible as possible.

The involvement and support of Alumni, Parents and Friends will help us to continue flourishing as a world-class academic institution. Thanks to your gifts, we can be more confident of our ability to preserve the very high quality of education we offer at St Catherine’s.
