Academic Office Assistant (part-time)

One of the newest and largest colleges within the University of Oxford, St Catherine’s is seeking to appoint a part-time Academic Office Assistant. Working as part of the Academic Office team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Academic Registrar, Deputy Academic Registrars and Academic Officers to ensure the smooth running of the Academic Office, and for providing administrative and secretarial support to Tutorial Fellows, Professorial Fellows and College Officers.
 
Key responsibilities will include acting as a ready source of information for all new and current Fellows, coordinating timetables for student progress meetings, and working with academic staff to ensure reading lists are kept up to date. This is in addition to engaging in a wide range of general administrative duties within the Academic Office, which deals with all academic matters concerning students.
 
With a keen eye for detail, the ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, administrative, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will also be enthusiastic, friendly and able to provide a customer-focused service. Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable, but not essential.
 
The annual salary is within a range of £11,107 to £12,142. The post is for 3.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday (17.5 hours a week in total).
