GB Men’s Eight Win Gold

Great Britain’s men’s eight have won a historic Gold medal at the World Rowing Championships in South Korea.

It is the first time in the competition’s history that Great Britain has won the event, crossing the finish line with a time of five minutes 30.35 seconds to secure the Gold medal. Germany took Silver, and the USA took Bronze.

Rower Andy Triggs Hodge MBE (2004, Geography and the Environment) is part of Great Britain’s men’s eight boat, and the College sends its warmest congratulations to Andy and the rest of the team on their momentous victory.
