Another Catz alum for GB Rowing!

Former Catz student Anna Corderoy (2013, English Language & Literature) has been recently selected to be part of the GB Rowing Team this year and will be coxing the LTA4+ Para squad. Her first test for this year’s regatta season will be at the Gavirate International Regatta (12th-14th) in Italy. This will be the first time that international Para-rowing events will be staged over 2,000m and promises to be an exciting few days, with four gold medal winning athletes from Rio 2016 returning to action. Impressively, Anna is currently studying for her law conversion alongside her coxing commitments and will be sitting an exam whilst in Italy!

Anna started rowing at St Catz and says “I owe it all to the college - I'd never even sat in a rowing boat, let alone coxed one before I came to university”. After moving from rowing to coxing in her first year, Anna went on to cox the University’s Women’s Lightweight team to victory over Cambridge in 2016. Catz has a proud rowing tradition, with Zoe de Toledo, Matthew Pinsent CBE, Colin Smith, Andrew Triggs Hodge OBE all having studied at the College.

We wish Anna all the success this week and for future appearances with GB Rowing!
