Biological Sciences

Why Catz?

  • St Catherine’s has one of the largest Biological Sciences departments with around eight students each year. A consistently large proportion of our Biologists graduate with a first class degree and are awarded academic prizes.
  • Our Fellows and Lecturers in Biological Sciences have active research interests in a broad range of subjects within biology. This range of research interests enables the College to offer first hand expertise of the wide range of topics covered by the Biological Sciences course at Oxford.
  • St Catherine’s College is one of the closest colleges to the Departments of Plant Sciences and Zoology (approx. 10 minutes’ walk).

Number of places usually available at St Catherine's: 8
